Cynthia Caldwell Guest Paint and Sip Instructor

Metro Media Institute Partners with Guest Artist for Paint and Sip

Metro Media Institute is happy to announce that we are hosting a guest instructor for our Paint and Sip!!

We are honored to have artist and former art teacher Cynthia Studdard Caldwell lead our Paint and Sip this weekend!

Cynthia is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Art Education and Fine Arts with certification in K-12 education.

She was an art teacher in the public schools for East Orange and Newark for twenty years.

Cynthia taught as an art teacher at the Newark Museum through a program with the Newark public schools, which partnered with the Newark Museum.

She also taught middle schoolers at an after-school program at Essex County College.

Cynthia has always participated in the Newark Art Youth Month, and she has designed three huge murals with her students for the Newark New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

She has exhibited her artwork with other Newark public school teachers at the City Without Walls and Aljira Gallery for Contemporary Art.

Cynthia has retired from the Newark public school system in 2007 but still loves teaching art, community service, and outreach, which she is still doing until this day.

Cynthia is still an active artist who exhibits her work through art exhibitions, bookstores, and other expressive opportunities. She also gives private art lessons and art lessons to small groups.

We are excited and honored to be hosting Cynthia this weekend
