Introducing Metro Media Summer Camp

Introducing the Metro Media Institute Summer Camp

Metro Media Institute will be hosting our very first summer camp as part of the institute!

Formerly known as RLS Media Summer Camp, we will be holding a six week long Art and Media based camp for campers age 7-15.

This year's camp will be split into three two-week sessions each focused on a different discipline.

Session 1 will be held from July 5 - 16 and will focus on Photography and Art. Campers will have the opportunity to learn how to operate a DSLR Camera as well as how to edit their pictures using photo editing software. They will also learn about shading and coloring techniques, as well as how to use acrylic paint.

Session 2 will run from July 19 - 30 and will cover Website Development and Film Making. As a part of website development, campers will learn how to code and create their own website or blog. They will also learn the fundamentals of filmmaking as well as have the opportunity to make their own video project.

Session 3 will be held from August 2 - 13 and will focus on Graphic Design and Minecraft. Campers will learn the basics of graphic design and design programs as well as be able to create their own design project. Campers will also learn the fundamentals of creating their own levels in Minecraft as well as enhance their skills in creativity, problem-solving, self-direction, and more.

Campers can sign up for any combination of sessions or for the entire summer.

We will also be running weekly off-site trips for everyone to enjoy and bond with their fellow campers, completely included in the price of tuition.

This year we will be using our brand new, state-of-the-art Scotch Plains facility.
